Prayer Request for Nawa Jiwan Marga Church

Prayer Request for Nawa Jiwan Marga Church

Introduction

NAWA JIWAN MARGA CHURCH is located in Marin Gaupalika, Sindhuli, and is led by Pastor Bishal Bomjan. It is about one hour away from Sindhulimadhi, the main city of Sindhuli District. The pastor is actively involved in advancing the Kingdom of God and also participates in the District Christian Unity Society, engaging in various related activities.

The church is situated in an area with more than 200 houses, where Hinduism and Buddhism are the dominant religions. This is the only church in the locality. Since it is a small congregation, there are no other church leaders, and the pastor alone takes care of the members. Regularly, more than 50 church members attend the weekly Saturday fellowship.

Being a small group, they have to face several challenges, which are mentioned below:

Church Environment

A. Prayer Life

According to John 15:7; If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” Many believers in this church have been accused and challenged by non-believers. The church has reached this point only after years of standing firm through persecution and opposition from those who resist Christ.

Please pray that the members may grow spiritually strong and victorious over every challenge and accusation they face. Let us hold them in our daily prayers, asking God to use them powerfully to expand His kingdom and shine His light in the midst of darkness.

B. Bible Reading & Study

Most members are able to read the Bible, though a few still struggle with reading. The believers are actively involved in weekly services and house fellowships to grow spiritually. Therefore, we must also encourage and support the pastor by doing what we can individually for the glory of God, so that the Lord may use him powerfully to overcome the forces of darkness that the church continually faces.
We know that both the pastor and the believers become stronger when they faithfully read and study the Word of God.

Challenges and Need for Help: Church Maintenance

I know that the believers and the pastor of this church are facing many challenges, especially regarding their basic needs. Since the church is located in a village area, they have no steady financial sources. The church desires to expand its programs for youth, children, and community outreach, but funding limitations prevent these activities.

The pastor receives no financial support from anyone. He tries to sustain himself through small-scale farming, and occasionally, neighboring church leaders provide some assistance. During our visit, my team and I encouraged him through God's word. I believe that, as children of our Heavenly Father, we are called to unite with all followers of Christ, regardless of who they are.

Currently, he has requested financial support for church maintenance from all churches in the Sindhuli District. Through the Sindhuli unity of the Christian Society, he distributed letters requesting help. Some churches have contributed small amounts, while others have promised to assist later. In my view, however, the total collected fund will likely fall short of even Rs. 100,000.

After consulting with other pastors, church leaders, and his family, the pastor has estimated that a minimum of Rs. 4 to 500,000 (Four to five Hundred Thousand) is needed. Now he has Rs 65000 current balance with him. Therefore, the funds collected from district churches are insufficient.

To clarify further, the church requires maintenance for the roof. During the rainy season, water leaks into the church hall, making it impossible for the congregation to hold fellowship inside. Repairing the roof is urgent so that the church can continue its services and programs safely.

Therefore, we all need to pray that God may provide for the needs of this church. Please hold the pastor and his ministry in your prayers. If you feel led to give for the glory of God, you can contact one of our team members.

What will be done with the funds collected?
For transparency, I will post all details here for public viewing, including the names of contributors. Everyone can see the updates below.

How will the collected funds be delivered?
The funds will be handed over and delivered through the Sindhuli Unity of Christian Society's committee, along with your names. In the same post, I will provide all updates, including photos, so that you can see exactly how your contributions are used. This ensures transparency and accountability.

Conclusion

This village church and its pastor have shown remarkable faith and dedication despite facing significant financial and logistical challenges. The urgent need for church maintenance, especially roof repair, is critical to ensure that the congregation can continue to worship safely and carry out ministry programs. By coming together in prayer and support, we as fellow believers have the opportunity to strengthen this church, empower its pastor and members, and advance God’s work in this community. Let us unite in generosity and faith, trusting that God will multiply our efforts and use this support to expand His kingdom.

How I became a Christian?

How did I become a Christian and establish the churches in Sindhuli? When I was thirteen years old, I escaped to Kathmandu with my friends leaving home. Then, I faced so much grief and sorrow and painful experiences in life. I found a small textbook by someone in Dakshindhoka and it was written about the Lord Jesus, maybe, but I couldn't remember well. At that time I was very curious to understand that textbook but no one could say what that was about. In 2000 A.D., I got the chance to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ through someone. When I heard about him, I became so excited and so happy, and then I accepted the Lord Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour by visiting Hope Church, Tusal, Baudha. After a week, I was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then after a month, I went to Sunday School teacher training with Pastor Eliya Pradhan. After training, I served for a few months in the Sunday School Fellowship. At the end of 2000 A.D., I heard about a...
